Micronedling RF FAQs

  • Compared to tradidional microneedling the combination of microneedling with radio frequency allows for a deeper penetration, resulting for more significant skin tightening and improvement in the appearance of skin concerns such as wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, uneven skin texture, and sagging skin.

  • Microneedling RF can be used on any areas that can benefit from sub-dermal renewal. Areas of the face that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment. The most commonly treated areas include the face and neck, as well as the abdomen which is beneficial for tightening loose skin with underlying fatty tissue.

  • If you’re looking to reduce the signs of ageing, discoloration, acne scars, or hypo and hyperpigmentation you will get the best results with 3-6 sessions, with three weeks in between for healing.

  • Visible results can be seen within a few days, but typically after three weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to nine months after treatment.

  • Radio frequency is considered blind technology, therefore it can be used on all skin types. The unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated with little risk of hypo- or hyperpigmentation, which is common with other resurfacing methods.

  • RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled manner to revitalize the collagen. This treatment helps to improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.

  • Since there is no downtime, makeup can be applied 24 hrs after the treatment. Clients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

  • Clients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that clients use a high, broad spectrum sunscreen. Remember, sunscreen will not only protect your Microneedling RF investement but is also the least expensive way to maintain your skin! Post care products will be available to you before you leave after your treatment.
